Julia A. Flisch collection, 1862-1990.

The collection consists of papers of Julia A. Flisch from 1862-1990. The papers include personal and professional correspondence, unpublished manuscripts, research notes, photographs, and copies of published articles and papers. The personal correspondence (1884-1941) is mostly from friends and associates and relates to her involvement in the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, Equal Suffrage Party of Georgia, Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The professional correspondence is from various publishers, her literary agent, readers, and literary critics. The unpublished manuscripts include children's stories, romantic novels, and social histories. The collection also contains materials collected by Robin O. Harris, who researched the life and career of Flisch. These materials include papers and articles written by Harris; correspondence with potential research sources; interviews with former students and associates; and materials relating to Flisch's family, education, and literary career.
